FAITH in our FUTURE

FAITH in our FUTURE: The launch of FCN’s 2021 Capital Campaign

First Church Natick has launched a Capital Campaign to raise $750K for building restoration and improvements.The campaign follows a needs assessment conducted in 2018-2019 and a feasibility study completed during the winter of 2021. On June 13, 2021, members voted unanimously to approve the campaign, an initiative to raise the funds needed to restore the church’s historic steeple as well as to make important updates to the sanctuary and the kitchen. The capital campaign consists of:

  • A “quiet phase” during which the capital campaign committee is working behind the scenes getting ready;

  • An October kick-off event to gather and inform the church community;

  • A “public phase,” during which all church members will consider a 3-year gift toward the project and church leadership will perform outreach to community stakeholders;

  • A November culminating celebration to conclude the capital campaign.

This page will link you to all communications surrounding the campaign and will inform you of important aspects of the initiative. Through this capital campaign, we acknowledge that we are the caretakers of our historic building and our congregation proclaims that, with FAITH in our FUTURE, it is OUR TURN to:

  • RESTORE and RENEW our historic building, an iconic landmark at Natick’s crossroads;

  • RECLAIM our worship space filling it with new energy, accessibility, and flexibility;

  • RE-ENGAGE with our larger community by opening our doors and welcoming in new opportunities for collaboration and use of our space; and

  • RECOMMIT to our faith and our shared missions of welcome, inclusion, and social justice.

Questions about the campaign may be directed to Steering Committee Co-Chairs Doug Hanna and Gail Martin by contacting the church office at 508-653-0971 or admin@firstchurchnatick.org.
