Your pledge is an essential part of the overall church budget. Pledge contributions make up more than half our annual operating income. We have no outside funding sources.
We also shape our budget. No one tells us how to use our resources. The church budget is presented at the Annual Meeting, held in January, for final approval by the congregation. Prior to accepting a new budget, ministry teams project their budget needs. Finance and Stewardship Teams make recommendations based on pledges received and projected income. The Coordinating Council prepares a budget for review by the congregation. A full financial statement can be requested from the church office.
WHAT ARE THE PLEDGE CARDS FOR?
Pledge cards enable you to formalize your financial commitment to this church. Your pledge allows us to anticipate what resources will be available for our ministries and missions. It allows us to budget responsibly.
To pledge, just fill out your personal information and include how much you plan to give, either weekly, monthly or quarterly for an annual total. These pledges can either be placed in the offering plate on any Sunday morning, or mailed to the church office.
HOW CAN I MAKE MY PLEDGE?
Pledge contributions may be sent by check payable to "First Congregational Church of Natick", dropped in the Sunday offering plate in a numbered envelope, or consider setting up FCC as an Automatic Payment through your bank’s bill payment system.
Check the box on the pledge card to request envelopes. If you forget your assigned envelopes, you can find extras at the church entries. Just fill in your name and the amount will be credited to your quarterly statement.
WHAT IF MY FINANCIAL SITUATION CHANGES?
You may revise or cancel your pledge should your circumstances require. Please let our financial assistant Michelle May (firstname.lastname@example.org) or one of the pastors know and we can adjust our records and the budget accordingly.
DO I NEED TO BE A MEMBER TO PLEDGE?
WILL I RECEIVE STATEMENTS OF MY GIVING?
As a pledger, you will receive quarterly statements of your financial gifts for your records. Annual statement are mailed for all other contributors.
